Inauguration of a Flag Ritual for Verzamelen Zocalo!, a participative initiative by Stijn Van Dorpe and Elien Ronse

Every year on the longest Saturday of the year, a flag will be raised with a question from and for Muizen, followed by a talk about it. The Novi Cantores choir will accompany this ritual musically. This question will fly throughout the summer. In the other seasons, flags made by local artists are displayed.
This flagpole is a trace of “Verzamelen Zocalo!”, an imaginative and festive gathering in the square on 22 June 2024, which was based on various questions about living together in the village that arose during numerous encounters.
Verzamelen Zocalo! is an initiative by artists Stijn Van Dorpe and Elien Ronse, adopted by the dorpsraad (village council) of Muizen (B).
