05/09: Presentation of the catalogue Bye Bye His-Story, chapter 5050

History is the emergence of writing, this precious tool that has allowed the creation and transmission of culture, the development of our civilizations in their most brilliant form. But writing is also the beginning of a logic of separation and partition, because its birth is immediately linked with the need to record the transmission of ownership in a patriarchal society.

As the first tools for objectifying and subjugating nature, living beings, genres, the written word, and property are at the source of what will create, precisely in the course of history, clashes between human groups, cultures, mythologies, religions ,and ideologies.

The multiple tensions and crises of today’s world (climate, energy, culture, ideology, migration) resonate as so urgent invitations to decompartmentalise, to fluidity, to the re-creation of links, to the pooling of approaches, of  knowledge and scientific disciplines in order to find solutions together.
