Lost And Found, And Lost Again While Addressing a Herd of Elephants in the Room

A collective essay by Ciel Grommen, Loes Jacobs, Maximiliaan Royakkers, Clémentine Vaultier, Vermeir & Heiremans and Atelier Cartographique, about the development of a mapping tool for situated practices. Published in Techniques Journal (forthcoming December 2023)

In partnership with nadine, f.eks (Denmark), cartographer cooperative Atelier Cartographique, and several of Jubilee’s artists, a mapping tool for artistic practices is in preparation. A tool for developing, visualizing, archiving and relating, it is specifically developed for practices that do not easily present themselves in conventional exhibition contexts: in situ, nomadic, collective, ephemeral, sonic, interdisciplinary or cross-disciplinary research practices. Donned with the working titled Shards, the tool is currently a working prototype. The development process be the protean group of collaborators has been the inspiration for ‘Lost And Found, And Lost Again While Addressing a Herd of Elephants in the Room’, a collectively written essay with conversations and images.
