Tinos Quarry Platform is an artist-run-initiative. In the second year of its operation, the project offers an opportunity to 18 visual artists, from different countries, to stay on the island of Tinos and work on their respective projects.
Our primary aim is to cultivate an atmosphere that encourages experimentation, research and the pursuit of new ideas. The Cycladic landscape contributes a lot to that.

Tinos Quarry Platform invites artists to work in this serene environment, facilitates the interaction with the local community and culture of Tinos and encourages exchanging ideas between artists, thinkers and the audience. Tinos Quarry platform promotes contemporary art in all its diverse forms within an international context and stimulates creativity through direct contact with nature by establishing workshops, exhibitions, and open-air art events in the regional area of the island. That gives a nomadic character to the whole process.

At the end of the period, the opening of the group exhibition will take place in the building of Tinos Cultural Foundation in the capital city of the island. During the duration of the show, several presentations will take place for the audience.
